RHUMBELOW THEATRE (PMB): Remembering Dave – A Tribute to the Brubeck Legacy, stages on Sunday at 6.30pm. South African jazz artist Melvin Peters and his quartet will present versions of tunes composed and performed by Brubeck. Peters has performed internationally and this year commemorates 30 years as a professional jazz pianist. The jazz world continues to mourn Brubeck who died in December 2012. Peters had a memorable association with him going back to 1988. The quartet comprises Peters (piano), Tom Hare (saxophone), Ildo Nanja (acoustic bass) and Bruce Baker (drums). SEABROOKES (DHS) THEATRE: The Actors’ Unemployed Company’s (AUC) new comedy, Super Mokoena, stages until April 13. Get ready for the flight of your life, as you meet the Man of Steel in a way you never have before! Laughter, hilarity, shadow puppets and bromance! ELIZABETH SNEDDON THEATRE: A Handful of Keys with Ian von Memerty and Roelof Colyn returns to Durban to celebrate 20 remarkable years, from tomorrow until April 27. iZULU THEATRE, SIBAYA CASINO: The Ladies of Lollipop Lane runs April 11 to 13. Thousands tuned in for several years to the popular radio soapie, Lollipop Lane, created by Clinton Marius. Now the magic returns in a whacky spin- off for three performances in The Ladies of Lollipop Lane. Starring Pauline Dalais and Shika Budhoo as the much-loved Mrs Singh-Singh and Mrs Singh-Song; and co-directed by Marius and Caroline Smart, The Ladies of Lollipop Lane features a stellar line-up of comedy favourites. SUNCOAST, Cinecentre: The Dingalings stage Wed-Dingalings from April 11 to 13. The Dingalings bring you their antics, Bollywood, Tollywood and ‘80s hit tunes. This time the guys are preparing to host their friend’s wedding prenuptials with advice on wives, mothers-in-law, setting up house and recollections of the good old days . Featuring Dr Satchu Annamalai, Ravi Subramoney, who share the stage with the Dingalings regulars. The play is directed and conceived by Yugan Naidoo and produced by Kumseela Naidoo. GREYVILLE RACE COURSE: As Easter approaches, The Durban Catholic Players Guild will present its annual production of The Way of the Cross on April 13 at 3pm. THE PLAYHOUSE: Classic ballet masterpieces performed to music by top French composers is what audiences will experience when Crown of the Russian Ballet tours the country. The Moscow theatre company will perform at the Playhouse Opera Theatre on May 20 and 21 at 7.30pm. The programme celebrates masterpieces of French music in ballet, including Camille Saint Saens’s Dying Swan, Jacques Brel’s Don’t Leave Me and Ravel’s Bolero.
