lMANOR GARDENS: After the success of his last Valentine’s soirée, Anthony Stonier is back with another intimate evening of song. Nostalgia is the theme, and a selection of songs – some old, some younger – will be performed. Only 80 seats are available for this one-off event. It begins as the sun goes down, a perfect start to the most romantic night of the year on February 14. The show starts at 6pm for 6.30pm, giving patrons time to go out for a romantic dinner afterwards, or be home for an early night. R100 a head. Bring your own drinks. lBARNYARD THEATRE: You get the ultimate beach party experience in Surf’s Up, running until March 3. Surf’s Up will sail you to exotic musical destinations such as Jamaica, where you can dance the night away to the sounds of Bob Marley and UB40. Then head to California for the vibe of The Beach Boys, and on to Miami with bikini girls Katy Perry and Sheryl Crow. Let’s not forget the South African beach party with the magic of Mango Groove. lHERITAGE THEATRE: Back by popular demand for its fourth season is The Jazz Singer, a tribute to Neil Diamond. It features Barry Thompson, Mali Sewell, Jason Andrew and Shaun Draght. lELIZABETH SNEDDON THEATRE: KickstArt presents Twitch, the world premiere of a new South African comedy by Robert Fridjhon, about two harassed couples in a bird hide during a birding weekend competition. Runs Thursday to February 24. Stars Tim Wells, Lisa Bobbert, Jailoshini Naidoo and Iain Robinson. Directed by Steven Stead and designed by Greg King, with lighting design by Tina le Roux. Shows: 7.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm and 6pm Sunday. Tickets: R130, R100 for pensioners and students. Valentine’s gala performance on February 14 for R200. lRHUMBELOW THEATRE: Suspects of Love (aka Aspects of Love) featuring Derek Pearce, Greg Baptie, Roland Stansell and Alan Quihampton, is a comical lip sync drag show that looks at the ups and downs of love. The Family Players’ show runs from Thursday to Sunday. The Valentine’s Day show is at 7.30pm, with Friday and Saturday shows at 8pm, and Sunday’s at 2pm. Venue opens 90 minutes before the show for picnic dinner. Cash bar available. lCOURTYARD THEATRE: Dr Pamela Tancsik directs a compilation of five knock-about absurdist comedy sketches from cult Bavarian writer Karl Valentin. Valentin wrote scripts, films, skits and cabaret in 1920s Bavaria. His comic genius inspired and influenced generations of writers, performers, physical theatre practitioners and comedians. Valentin’s work has been translated from the German by Tancsik and edited by Gisele Turner. Karl Valentin in Africa will present a poignant insight into the timeless genre of absurdist theatre. Runs from February 23 to March 1, with performances starting at 7pm. R35 at the door.

lSTABLE THEATRE: Inkonyane Engegama (The Calf With No Name), a heart-warming new children’s stage play, run daily on March 12 to 16, at 10am. Created by award-winning writer Clinton Marius, the play has been translated into Zulu and directed by Mpume Mthombeni. The story traces the journey a Zulu boy must take to set right a wrong he has done. Features Sifiso Cele, Musa Ntuli, Noluthando Kubeka and Qaphela Makhoba. lELIZABETH SNEDDON THEATRE: Pieter-Dirk Uys has prepared four hours of performance choices for An Audience with Pieter-Dirk Eish! Every night will feature a different show of 90 minutes, because the audience decides what it wants. It could be Evita Bezuidenhout as a new ANC cadre, or Nowell Fine celebrating 40 years in the public eye. Perhaps a Malema in Gucci or in chains, some Zumas, married or not, a Tutu, a PW or a Pik. Runs February 26 to March 10, Tuesdays to Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 3pm. Tickets: R140 at Computicket.

lSUNCOAST CASINO: The Dingalings return with their adult comedy show Dingum on March 1 at 8pm, March 2 at 5pm and 9.15pm, and March 3 at 6pm. No under-18s.
