Kahn Morbee

Caversham Mill

(tonight)

IF you’re a fan of The Parlotones, you will be glad to know that their frontman, Kahn Morbee, will perform solo tonight at the Caversham Mill.

On the musician’s official website, it states that after 12 years of fronting The Parlotones, Morbee is performing as KAHN. His contributions on all seven of The Parlotones’ studio albums have received critical acclaim across the globe and his solo project is set to follow the same path.

In 1999, Kahn formed The Parlotones, a quartet which has attained a global following. Having performed thousands of shows around the world, The Parlotones have performed at many European and US music festivals with, among others, the Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons and The Cure.

The band also received South African Music Awards for Best Rock Album for Radiocontrolledrobot in 2006 and Best Rock Album for Stardust Galaxies in 2007.

The website further states that Kahn attributes his musical influences to a range of genres and this is set to take listeners on a cathartic experience. He is completing his first full- length studio album alongside Brendan Jury (producer) at the The Light Palace. – Tonight Reporter
