PUMPKIN THEATRE: Catch the show-stopping Girls on Film. The show whisks you into the musical world of stage and Broadway to the magic of the silver screen. CATALINA THEATRE: The international spoof comedy The 39 Steps runs until Sunday. Directed by Themi Venturas, it features Clare Mortimer, Loyiso McDonald, Michael Gritten – all playing a cast of thousands – and Clinton Small as the title character, Richard Hannay. SUNCOAST SUNZONE: The Wizard of Oz, an adult pantomime, ends January 13. Ideal year-end party fare. Corporate entertainment. Anthony Stonier plays the Wicked Witch of the West, Donnagh Roberts returns to play Dorothy. The Cowardly Lion, The Tin Man and The Scarecrow are played by Rowan Bartlett, Marc Kay and Thomie Holtzhausen respectively. Daisy Spencer returns to perform the part of the Good Witch, who doubles as the narrator. Her task is to keep things on track and move us all down the Yellow Brick Road to meet the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Plus, for the first time… dancing girls!

THE HERITAGE THEATRE: Going Out with a Bang! offers a selection of the best party songs to see us ending the year with a bang. Lyle Buxton plays the fiendishly handsome villain of the story, Gaston, with Rory Booth as his idiotic sidekick, Lefou. IZULU THEATRE, SIBAYA CASINO: The Michael Jackson musical biography HIStory II comes to Durban. Runs until January 6, with one performance being staged at Sun International’s Wild Coast Sun on Boxing Day. This show will take fans back to the Jackson 5 era before continuing on a thrilling journey to this decade. It features more than 20 songs performed live by impersonator Kenny Wizz.
