• Aladdin runs from Monday to July 12 at the Nassau Theatre in Newlands. Presented by The Lilliput Players Children’s Theatre Company. R50 at Computicket.

• Soprano Zanne Stapelberg and pianist Albie van Schalkwyk perform on Sunday at The Nederburg Concert Series 2014. Programme: In the first half, songs by French composers Francis Poulenc and Erik Satie and US composers such as Leonard Bernstein and Samuel Barber. Melodies by legendary composers of musical theatre, Cole Porter and George Gershwin, will round it off. A tribute to the songs of German composer Kurt Weill will begin the second half with the remainder of the performance dedicated to Afrikaans songs. 5pm. R200. • Fergus of Galloway ends Saturday at the Rosebank Theatre. Created from an epic poem of knights and maidens, Fergus of Galloway is set in the time of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Playwright Nicholas Ellenbogen has reworked the choral piece into a musical, and draws from influences of the blues, reggae and folk rock.
