Zooey Deschanel has secretly married Jacob Pechenik.
News broke on 3 August that the couple had become parents to a baby girl and in a statement released by their representative confirming the news it was revealed the loved-up pair had tied the knot.
The statement read: “I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband Jacob Pechenik are new parents to a beautiul healthy baby girl.”
No other details are yet to be revealed about the tot such as her name or birth weight and no other information has been released regarding the couple's top secret wedding.
However, it has been confirmed that Jacob proposed to Zooey on Catalina Island on January 17, which was the 'Failure To Launch' star's 35th birthday.
This is Zooey's second marriage. She was previously wed to Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard but divorced him in 2012.
Zooey and Jacob didn't find out the sex of their baby while she was expecting because they wanted it to be a “surprise”.
She said: “We are gonna be surprised. It's more fun. Make it into a game!”
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old beauty previously admitted she was incredibly “excited” about the addition to their family.
She said: “I'm really excited. I'm so excited. I'm just so excited to meet my baby! We're very excited.”
However, one thing that didn't impress the star during her pregnancy was the ban on coffee and wine.
She said: “You can't eat so many things when you're pregnant! If I was vegan, I'd just be like ... ohhh.
“You can't have sushi. You can't have cheese that tastes good.
“You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have, like, four cups a day. And now I can have a half cup, which is a joke! It's a total joke!
“You can't have alcohol. I miss that, I like wine.”
Despite the bans, she admitted her and Jacob were still planning on having fun with the pregnancy.
