Here are some reasons to celebrate the Swiss today:

*Switzerland is internationally known for its high quality chocolate. About 172,376 tons of chocolate is produced each year.

*Switzerland is also home to 450 varieties of cheese, ranging from extra hard to soft, the Swiss took the first prize at the World Championship Cheese Contest in 2014 and runner up in the 2016 Championship.

*Switzerland has one of the highest percentages of foreign residents in the world (24.3% in 2015). 

*Switzerland is home to 208 mountains over 3,000 feet high. This means that there are plenty of hiking adventures and ski touring trips.

*Switzerland, with such a diverse population has four national languages. German (64%), French (20.4%), Italian (6.5%), and Romansh (over 1%).
