Boekenhoutfontein, North West - Kedar Country Lodge, Conference Centre & Spa is on Boekenhoutfontein in North West, historic farm of former president Paul Kruger. Stretching over 486 hectares, it has been game-fenced and populated with a variety of game and prolific birdlife.

Guests can enjoy a range of activities including game drives, guided walks and fishing. Kedar’s spa overlooks a natural wetland allowing guests to take in the breathtaking natural surroundings.

The spa uses products and treatments crafted out of indigenous African herbs and oils. A variety of treatments are offered, including massages, aromatherapy and reflexology. Kedar’s culinary experience celebrates Africa and its history.

The Armoury restaurant serves traditional South African fare and offers diners a visual history of the Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902.

The Heroes Bar, set in indigenous gardens, provides the perfect spot to enjoy a sundowner while watching the sunset, and the Boma offers traditional South African cooking under the stars, over an open fire.

Kedar is 90 minutes’ drive from Joburg and Pretoria and only 15 minutes from Sun City and the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
