The ‘Daddy’, as it’s affectionately known, is famous for its Airstream Rooftop Trailer Park, Pink Flamingo open-air cinema, and multi-genre live music – all novel adventures on the hotel’s roof overlooking the Mother City.

The Daddy likes to take things up a notch and this month is no exception. With a regular line-up of popular and classic films, the Pink Flamingo is a must experience.

This month’s screenings include: Good Will Hunting (March 19); and The Princess Bride (March 29). Part drive-In, part social event, set in the world’s only rooftop trailer park hotel, the Pink Flamingo celebrates the stars of the silver screen in a magical setting beneath the Cape’s clear night sky.

‘Flamigoers’ can choose from different ticket options. Stay ‘old school’ and for R60 per person you’ll enjoy the movie, a welcome drink, popcorn and a bag of old-fashioned sweets. Choose the Gourmet Foodie option for R150 per person sharing, and get stuck into a picnic basket filled with delectable delights.

To really travel in style, and not have far to roll into bed, why not book your very own designer-decorated, whimsically themed Airstream trailer for the night for just R600 per person sharing? Together with the film, a delicious picnic and refreshing welcome drink, this is a pyjama party to be remembered.

If you want your entertainment live, then get to one of the Live Music nights at the Daddy in March, also on the roof: Soul Housing Project 16th March and on March 30th, a jazz event to coincide with the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.

South Africa’s only rooftop cinema is also available for exclusive bookings and perfect for any special occasion.
