Cape Town - The Vineyard Hotel has long been known as one of Cape Town’s premier food and wine destinations.

One of the many extraordinarily popular events on their culinary calendar is the upcoming Tastes of France wine-paired dinner, which will feature top wines from five of the French wine making regions.

This fabulously French affair, which will be hosted at the Vineyard, will be an intimate dinner, pairing continental wines with a locally-inspired menu.

Commenting on what guests can expect on the night, Matt Deitchman, the hotel’s food and beverage manager, says: “With a view to celebrating the unforgettable tastes of France, we are excited to be hosting this wine-paired dinner in partnership with The Reciprocal Wine Trading Company and Riedel Glassware. Wines for the night have been carefully selected from across five of the finest French wine-making regions and will be complimented by a noteworthy menu that will add a proudly South African element to the evening.”

The wines will be supplied by Reciprocal Wine Trading Company, which is South Africa’s oldest fine wine importer and offers an excellent selection of mainly French wines, but also a number from Spain, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, California, Argentina, Portugal and Hungary.

Seats for the Tastes of France wine-paired dinner, taking place on Friday November 27, cost R495 pp. There is space for a limited number of guests so booking in advance is essential. Please email Blair at [email protected] or call 021 657 4500.
