Johannesburg - A woman who allegedly used her car to push lions off the road in the Kruger National Park could face a fine or be banned from the park.

Kruger Park officials are looking for the woman who allegedly used her 4x4 on Thursday morning to move a pride of lions out of her way.

William Mabasa, communications manager for Kruger Park, said officials had received reports from several witnesses.

“There was a pride of lions in the road and she probably wanted to pass them, so she preferred to push them out of the way.

“We would like any witnesses to please come forward or if anyone has taken photographs of the vehicle and its number plate,” he said.

“If we think a fine is not enough, we can make a recommendation to impose a ban on the owner of the vehicle.”

The incident took place near Crocodile Bridge.
