Cape Town - FlySafair announced their crazy R2 sale with much aplomb. And at 9am, fingers at the ready, eager online users patiently waited their turn to be one of the lucky 15 000 ticket holders.

Then there was silence and blank screens, much to the dismay of thousands of customers around the country.

Twitter exploded with devastated sobs and mostly anger. And like the saying goes, any publicity is good publicity. In FlySafair’s case, their R2 sale is now trending on social media.

Here are a few reactions on Twitter, and FlySafair’s response to an irate user.
