With the weekend beckoning, we share some ideas on where you can go to grab a cold one in Gauteng, Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga. Here are our picks: 

Gauteng 

Pretoria

: The Blue Crane Restaurant and Bar

Located in New Muckleneuk, the restaurant and bar is trendy and lively, which makes it the perfect place to give your weekend a great kick start. The signature cocktail here is the Nutty Chocolate Martini. You also have the option of having a meal with your drink. They also have an extensive wine list.

Mpumalanga

Nelspruit: The Jock Pub & Grill 

This gently aged pub and grill is the preffered spot by the Pumas Rugby club-in case you bump into them there. It has a selection of live music events that happen on various days of the week. They boldly proclaim that Saturdays are rugby and cricket days. Oh and braaivleis.  With a  combination of sports, beer and braai'ed meat you certainly won't wrong.

Limpopo

Phalaborwa: Philly's Corner Pub Restaurant

The place is a refreshing hide out in Phalaborwa where good food, thirst quenching drinks and top notch service are the order of the day. The menu has a healthy variety of cocktails, one of which has your name on it.

North West 

Hartbeespoort: The Chameleon Brew House 

This gem that's hidden near the dam has a variety of weekly events where patrons can come and enjoy the craft beer they're so famous for with a 500r Rump Steak served with chips and veggies. On weekdays, doors close at 5pm and on week ends till late.
