London - Disney shrugged off worries over the world's second biggest economy as the US entertainment giant unveiled more details of its first ever theme park in China.

The $5.5bn park - featuring six themed “worlds” based on Star Wars and the Marvel super heroes - will be “authentically Disney and distinctively Chinese”, Disney's chairman and CEO Bob Iger saud.

Disney's announcement came as China suffered more stock market turmoil despite recording better than expected annualised growth of seven percent between April and June.
