Shack up at Shake Shack

The New York City-founded brand Shake Shack continued with its Middle East expansion when it opened a new outlet in Marina Mall in July.

Those unfamiliar with the brand, Shake Shack is known for its natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers, griddled hot dogs, frozen custard and crinkle cut fries.

Still need more convincing? The new Marina Mall Shack offers an exclusive “concrete” (frozen custard blended at high speed with mix-ins) called Salt N’ Seaside, which comprises vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, banana and shortbread cookie. Sweet!

Location: Level 1, Abu Dhabi’s Marina Mall located off Corniche Road

Operating hours: Sundays–Wednesday, 10h00 – 23h00

Thursdays – Saturdays, 10h00 – Midnight

Home-grown fusion

Located in Darwish Tower – the upcoming food and beverage destination hub on Danat Street in the UAE capital - Majlis Alfareej opened in May as a home-grown authentic and fusion emirati concept by Dubai-based Glee Hospitality Solutions.

The restaurant’s unique selling proposition is the authentic menu crafted by celebrity Emirati chef Khulood Atiq, who is currently the Arabian and Emirati cuisine specialist for Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC).

The menu captures Abu Dhabi’s unique heritage, while at the same time blending it with the myriad of cultures found in the city and adding a modern fusion to it.

Diners can look forward to delicious Machbous, Lgeimat, Sagaw and Karak Tea as well as signature dishes such as Green Soup Pie and Diyay Tortilla.

Location: Danat Street

Operating hours: Daily from 09h00 – Midnight

Refine your taste buds at Café 302

Café and retail concept, Café 302 opened in Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana in July. Visitors to Café 302 can look forward to a menu comprising steak, seafood, salads, freshly baked breads and cakes, savoury pies and quiches.
