Johannesburg - South African construction and engineering firm Murray & Roberts said on Tuesday that clients of financial services group Allan Gray have increased their stake in Murray & Roberts to 20 percent.
The move is seen to indicate a vote of confidence from one of the leading investment houses in the country in a sector that has been hard hit by falling demand, rising input costs and slowing government infrastructure spend. The construction sector has shed thousands of jobs over the past few quarters.
