Aveng: Diack and Mzondeki to join board

Aveng had appointed Eric Diack and Kholeka Mzondeki to join its board as independent non-executive directors, the construction group said on Friday. They replace Myles Ruck, who resigned after moving to Cape Town, and Nkululeko Sowazi, who quit as his other business commitments took him outside South Africa much of the time. Diack joined the board yesterday, and Mzondeki will join on January 1. Diack is a non-executive director of Bidvest and has served on the AECI board among others. Mzondeki has over 20 years experience in mining and telecommunications. She is a non-executive director of Telkom and Bauba Platinum. Aveng shed 1.63 percent to close at R29.51 on Friday.
