Johannesburg - Shares of Barloworld fall nearly 5 percent to 107.50 rand after US construction and mining equipment manufacturer Caterpillar said on Tuesday that retail statistics of machines for the three-month period to the end of April were down 13 percent, sending its shares sharply lower.
Barloworld, the sole dealer of Caterpillar products in southern Africa, slumps to a two-month low on the back of Caterpillar's announcement and concerns over global sales of heavy machinery. - Reuters
