ELB Group: Interim profit is up by 22%

THE ELB Group has reported a 22 percent hike in interim profit before tax from R60 million for the half year to December 2013 to R73m in the six months to December 2014. The engineering group saw a 14 percent hike in sales to R1.144 billion. Its headline earnings per share increased from 121.5c to 136.8c. The firm said its comprehensive income, however, decreased from R40m to R35m primarily due to foreign currency translation losses in 2014.
