Kumba Iron Ore: Kolomela fires up production rise

KUMBA Iron Ore, a unit of Anglo American, said yesterday production rose by 10 percent in the fourth quarter compared with a year ago, helped partly by robust performance at its Kolomela mine. Production rose to 12.4 million tons for the quarter to the end of December, while export sales increased by 23 percent to 11.7 million tons, Kumba said.
