Leisure: Taste in talks to add new brand

TASTE Holdings was in talks to add another brand to its portfolio of fast food and jewellery chains, the company said on Friday, sending its shares higher. The company did not give details on the proposed transaction. Taste controls the franchising rights for Domino’s Pizza in nine African countries and owns pizza, fish and chicken units, as well as watch and gold jewellery stores. Shares in Taste rose 0.62 percent to R3.27 at the close of trade on the JSE on Friday, after swinging as high as 5.85 percent. – Reuters
