Johannesburg - Former MB Technologies CEO Glenn Fullerton has been appointed as Nampak’s CFO.

Fullerton will join the packaging company on September 1, it says in a statement to shareholders.

He will replace Gareth Griffiths, who will be retiring.

Fullerton has a B.Compt, B.Compt (Hons), CTA and CA (SA) qualifications and has prior experience in the packaging industry having held the position of divisional financial director of two large divisions of the former JSE-listed company, Kohler.

He was most recently CEO of MB Technologies, a post he left in November 2013 after being involved in a serious cycling accident.

Despite going through a period of recuperation, his recovery was slower than expected, which led to his decision to take a sabbatical.

Fullerton joined the MBT Group in 2000 as group FD of the then listed MBT Group and held this position until his promotion to group CEO in July 2009. He served on the MB Technologies Group board as well as the underlying subsidiary boards as an executive director from 2000.
