Nando’s has appointed Geoff Whyte as its new chief executive of the southern Africa business unit. Whyte joins the chicken-offering outlet with a wealth of experience, having previously worked for Unilever, PepsiCo, SAB-Miller and Cadbury Schweppes. Whyte said he had admired the Nando’s brand and corporate culture from outside the organisation for many years. “I am therefore delighted to be joining a company I hold in such high regard and I am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.” Global chief executive of Nando’s David Niven said: “We are delighted to welcome Geoff into the Nando’s family at what is an exciting time for the business. We believe his broad experience will add considerable value to the group.” – Nompumelelo Magwaza
