Rustenburg -Police are investigating a rumour that there has been a shooting at a hostel at Marikana, near Lonmin mine, on Friday.
Gauteng police commissioner Mzwandile Petros said an update would be made available later.
Talk Radio 702 earlier said two people were shot at a hostel on Friday morning. One was killed and one injured.
