Johannesburg - PetroSA has appointed a woman chief financial officer for the first time, the oil company said on Thursday.

Lindiwe Bakoro took up the position on Monday, replacing Nkosemntu Nika, who served for 10 years, said spokesman Thabo Mabaso.

He said Bakoro had an extensive curriculum vitae that included project finance specialising in concessions, public-private partnerships and infrastructure finance.

“She brings a wealth of merchant banking, project and infrastructure finance experience that will immensely assist PetroSA and ensure the company grows and is sustainable,” said chief executive Nosizwe Nokwe-Macamo. - Sapa
