Johannesburg - On June 20 Sapa issued a story headlined “ESKOM DISPUTES POLLUTION REPORT” quoting a Mail & Guardian report that air pollution from two coal power stations in two provinces killed at least 20 people a year and this could rise to 617, with 25,000 people hospitalised once all its stations were running.

The Mail &Guardian has since pointed out that the Sapa story incorrectly referred to two power stations instead of several power stations in two provinces. - Sapa
