TATA Chemicals was seeking buyers for its fertiliser business, people familiar with the matter said. The unit might be valued between $800 million (R10 billion) to $1bn, said one person asking not to be identified because the talks were private. Local fertiliser makers might be keen to buy the unit, the people said. Kotak Mahindra Bank has been asked to find buyers, Economic Times reported yesterday. – Bloomberg
