Cape Town - A dispute has been declared after wage talks deadlocked between the public sector unions demanding a 10 percent wage hike and government offering 5.8 percent, a government source said on Saturday.

“The secretary of the bargaining council will now appoint a conciliator to help the parties reach an agreement and settle negotiations,” said source told Reuters.
