Johannesburg - No blackouts were scheduled for Friday, Eskom said.
“The system is collectively stable at the moment with a medium to high possibility of load shedding. The reason being we still have not recovered some of the generating units down for maintenance,” said spokesman Khulu Phasiwe.
“However, we do expect an increase in demand later in the day, but so far we have not scheduled for load shedding.”
Eskom urged consumers to use less electricity.
