THREE key JSE-listed players in the leisure industry said they would oppose the recommendation made by the Competition Commission to prohibit transactions between them. The listed groups are Tsogo Sun, Sun International and Grand Parade Investment (GPI). The matter has been passed on to the Competition Tribunal. “The parties do not agree with the recommendation by the Competition Commission and intend to oppose such recommendation before the Tribunal,” the companies said. The transaction involves Tsogo Sun buying 40 percent equity interests in each of Sunwest International and Worcester Casino from Sun International and GPI. – Nompumelelo Magwaza
