Pretoria - The US Federal Reserve needs to consider the effects of its policies on developing economies, said South Africa's out-going central bank governor Gill Marcus on Friday.

“In the end, the Fed will take decisions about what is in the best interests of the United States,” Marcus told a conference of global central bankers in Pretoria.

“But it cannot ignore the fact that it has an impact on emerging markets.” - Reuters
