Transnet focus is on training

TRANSNET would spend R7.7 billion on training initiatives to meet its capacity requirements in line with its market demand strategy, the parastatal said yesterday. “Transnet has spent about R2.5bn in training over the last two years, amalgamated its different schools under the Transnet Academy,” newly appointed Transnet acting group chief executive, Siyabonga Gama, said. Gama said 90 percent of graduates were black, while 25 percent were female. – ANA
