The branch offices of the South African Revenue Service (SARS) will be open tomorrow and next Saturday – November 14 and 21 – in anticipation of an increase in the number of taxpayers filing their returns.
The offices will be open from 8am to 1pm at 25 branches around the country. Note that issues relating only to tax-return submissions will be dealt with on these days.
SARS says about 24 000 taxpayers are filing their returns a day, but the volume is expected to increase in the two weeks before the tax season ends on November 27.
