BOASTING a secret location, green vineyards and the Constantiaberg as a backdrop, the first french Sunset picnic dinner will offer guests a French afternoon, and an evening with a South African twist on November 8 from 3pm to 10pm.

The venue will be disclosed to ticket holders at 9am on the day of the event.

The day will feature not only the picnic, but also live poetry, stand-up comedy, DJs, a jazz band and an outdoor short French film. Guests are encouraged to dress in red, white and blue.

Comedian Siv Ngesi will be the host, alongside promoter Didier Moestus. Music will be provided by The French Embassy Trio and Sylvestre Kabassidi and DJ’s Didier Moestus and DJ Ozy from La French Connection.

Guests will receive a gift basket with a bottle of wine, South African cheese and French crepes. There will be a lucky draw with prizes from Lacoste, Cafe Coton, House of Monatic, La Grenadine Petit Hotel, Desert Rose Beauty Salon and others.

Bring your own picnic basket or pre-order one online. – Arts writer
