A Nigerian man is due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court after he was caught at the station with 16kg of tik worth more than R5 million, police said today.

“A 42-year-old Nigerian male is due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court for dealing in drugs following his arrest on Saturday at Cape Town railway station,” police spokesman FC van Wyk said.

“The suspect was apprehended during an intelligence-driven operation after he had arrived in the city on a bus, had 16kg of tik in his hand luggage, with a value estimated at R5.2m.” – ANA
