THE winner of R5 000 in the Cape Times selfie competition is Shafiek Mouton.
Mouton won the main prize after visiting the Mitchells Plain Festival at the weekend and posing for a photograph in our especially made frame at the Independent Media stand. He posted the picture to our Twitter account @CapeTimes and also subscribed to the Cape Times newspaper.
Muneerah Sampson and Tracey Ann Visagie won R2 500 each for their selfies.
The festival was jampacked with performers, carnival rides, stalls and a range of other exciting events. More than 50 local artists, DJs and entertainers performed at the festival.
