FOUNDED over 11 years ago by David Kau, the Blacks Only Comedy Show has been performed to over one million South Africans and continues laughing its way around South Africa on a five city tour starting in Cape Town on Saturday May 9 at GrandWest Arena at 8pm.
Blacks Only Laughing has become known for its cutting-edge humour and close-to-the-bone stories.
David Kau, co-producer of the show remarks that, “This year’s tour will include major names as well as, a number of up-and-coming acts that will become household names in the not too distant future.”
Comedians previously been on the bill have included the likes of Trevor Noah, Riaad Moosa, Marc Lottering, Conrad Koch, Tumi Morake and Jason Goliath.
For the May 9 production Kau will reprise his role as MC, hopefully facilitating that the audience witnesess the unexpected. Kau encourages comedians on the bill do not play by the rules and therein lies the charm of the event.
As is tradition Kau promises that at this comedy production there will be some relatively new acts that are introduced to the market – to make sure you leave the show with big belly aches. This humorous snippet also travels to Port Elizabeth, East London and Johannesburg.
