COMEDY fans can brace for some outrageous, laugh-‘til-you-drop fun with some of the land’s foremost comedians at GrandWest this winter. On the bill for the Comedy Festival at the Roxy Revue Bar are Loyiso Gola, Dave Levinsohn, Kagiso ‘KG’ Mokgadi, Conrad Koch and Chester Missing, Kagiso Lediga, Mel Jones, Martin Evans and Dalin Oliver.

The month-long festival of laughs kicks-off on July 1 with Loyiso Gola’s hit one-man show, Loyiso Gola Live. His show will run in the first week of the festival until July 4. Next in line to dish out the funnies is Levinsohn in LAUG# @ ME between 8 and 11 July 2015. KG will open for Levinsohn.

Conrad Koch and Chester Missing perform in Gagging Order from 15 to 18 July. Opening for them will be cabaret star, Ghia Human. The second last week of the comedy festival features Lediga in A Wordy Purpose. Comedienne, Mel Jones does the honours of opening for him from July 22 to 25.

The comedy festival culminates with the hilarious Martin Evans in War Donkey from July 29 to August 12015. Opening for him is Dalin Oliver, who presents the Comedy Sundowner events at GrandWest’s Hanover Street on the first Sunday of every month.

“We are excited to announce our first Comedy Festival at the Roxy Revue Bar. Cape Town has a definite appetite for good comedy which we hope to satisfy with hefty doses of laughter dished-out by top calibre comedians for a full month,” says Elouise Matthys, PR and promotions manager at GrandWest.
