Josh Thirion is 11 and he already has two recipe books under his belt.

(His first, Cook with Josh, won the Best in the World in the Children’s cookbook category at the Gourmand Cookbook Awards in Paris).

Bake with Josh is his second book and it is packed with more than 40 delicious recipes.

The book is divided into six chapters: big cakes, small cakes and muffins, biscuits, tray bakes and other treats, breads, tarts, pies and pastries, and oven bakes.

Some of Josh’s favourites, such as carrot cake and banana bread, are included, as well as new recipes, such as chocolate lava cakes and millionaire-in-training chocolate cake.

The book is beautifully illustrated and you’ll find lots of the author’s hand-drawn cartoons and comic strips.

There are games and activities to keep kids busy while they wait for their goodies to bake, as well as fun facts and baking tips.

Bake with Josh will inspire both young and old to get busy in the kitchen.

* The book is also available in Afrikaans.
