Writers from South Africa and Africa gather in Durban for the 18th Time of the Writer festival currently on at various venues in the city.
The festival runs until Saturday (Human Rights Day) when it culminates in Book Day at the Open Plan Studio (Old Lion Match Building in Umgeni Road) from 9am to 2.30pm.
The closing session follows at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre at 7pm and features Dilman Dila from Uganda and South African writers Craig Higginson, Imraan Coovadia and Mandla Langa. For more information about the festival go to www.cca.ukzn.ac.za
