Five top science pupils for expo

Durban - Five bright KwaZulu-Natal pupils who excelled in the regional Eskom Expo for Young Scientists are preparing to fly to Johannesburg where they will fly the flag for the province.

They were among the record 1 565 budding scientists and innovators across the province who had 1 300 projects on display at the annual Eskom Expo for Young Scientists.

Elissa J David of Northlands Girls’ School, Durban, Michaela Steele of Ladysmith High School, Nikita Stephens from Ixopa Primary School and Snenhlanhla Dlamini and Siyabonga Cele of Ongoye High School, Empangeni, will be showing off their winning displays at the International Science Fair in Johannesburg from October 7-10, when they will be competing with science enthusiasts from 31 regions across the country, as well as international talent.
