Round up your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. The Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk – launched on Tuesday – is on May 24, and you don’t want to miss out.

If you want a cool way to experience a stretch of the Durban promenade, then do it on foot, with your loved ones and with a festive vibe to keep you moving!

All four distances – 5km, 10km, 15km and 20km – will kick off at uShaka Marine World, with the finish line at People’s Park, Moses Mabhida Stadium.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the entire family including clowns, jugglers and face painters.

Throw in taking a #healthyselfie with your favourite ECR presenters along the way, some pretty awesome music and a vibe like no other, and you’re sure to have a memorable experience, East Coast Radio promises.

“After all the recent accolades that Durban has received from both local and international media, we are simply celebrating the lifestyle that living in Durban affords communities,” says East Coast Radio’s marketing manager, Renée Burton.

“The 2015 Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk is highlighting this by ‘walking Durban together’.”

Last year, 33 000 people had the time of their lives at the big event. This year there is limited space, so people are being urged to register early.

You can either enter online at www.ecr.co.za at a reduced rate, or you can pop into selected Totalsports stores and sign up there.
