The death toll in road accidents countrywide since Sunday has reached 26.

In KwaZulu-Natal, one person died and 17 were hurt in a collision between a minibus taxi and police vehicle on Monday.

In Mpumalanga, four people were killed when two vehicles collided in Nelspruit on Monday.

Four men died when two bakkies collided outside Ladysmith.

Another man died and two others were injured when their vehicle rolled in Waterfall.

In Pietermaritzburg a man died when he was thrown from his vehicle.

Earlier in Soweto four men died in an accident in Dobsonville.

Another man died in a head-on collision in Witkoppen Road in Johannesburg.

Ten people were killed on the N1 in the Western Cape on Sunday.
