Jack Whitehall dubbed Prince Harry the "King of banter" during the recording of the Royal Variety Performance.
The 'Fresh Meat' star - who is the youngest ever host of the annual gala - admitted he'd love to see the 30-year-old prince and fifth in line to the throne be in charge of the country for a week.
Speaking about Harry's achievements - which include serving in the army and setting up the Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women - the comedian said: "Yes you've served your country with distinction in the British Army.
"But more importantly than any of that... you're the kind of guy on a night out who doesn't see a shopping trolley, but a ride home.
"Yes, ladies and gentleman, he may only be a prince. But when it comes to banter, all hail the King."
The flame haired royal appeared to enjoy the 27-year-old funnyman's joke and could be seen wagging his finger at him while chuckling.
The Royal Variety Performance also saw a number of stars including Sir Elton John, Kylie Minogue, One Direction and Little Mix take to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
