Cape Town - The Table Bay hotel will host a series of cooking classes for children.

Executive Chef Jocelyn Myers-Adams, keen to develop passion and cooking prowess amongst children, will be hosting monthly cooking workshops at the hotel.

Children will get to work side by side with Myers-Adams and a dedicated minder for two hours while learning to prepare an exciting meal and a baked treat.

Classes will be kept small to encourage interaction and learning. Children will take home what they have prepared along with a goodie bag.

WomanOnline attended the first one in August – and as you can see it was great fun!

Cooking classes with Myers-Adams will take place at 12h30 on:

Saturday, 12 September – chicken frikkadels, butternut and cupcakes

Saturday, 10 October – curry, sambal and mossbolletjie

Saturday, 5 December – samoosas, chutney and lamingtons

Parents can enjoy some “grown up” time and a delicious meal at the Camissa Brasserie while their little ones learn to cook.

There are different packages to choose from:

For R350, mom or dad can have a two course meal and a glass of wine at Camissa Brasserie, and one child gets to enjoy a cooking experience. Additional children can attend at R150 each and each additional adult is R200.

The cost is R200 per child if no package is bought with the adult lunch.

The cooking classes are suitable for children aged 5 – to 12 years.

Booking is essential. To book contact Ilse Barnard on 021 0460 5988 or [email protected].
