London – Once she was known more for her tumultuous personal life than her career.
But since becoming a mother, Sienna Miller is enjoying a new sense of calm. She says she is more likely to be found cooking in her country cottage than attending glittering celebrity parties.
The 33-year-old actress, who had an on-off relationship with Jude Law and a reported fling with Daniel Craig, said these days her life revolves around her two-year-old daughter Marlowe and fiance Tom Sturridge – and she is happier for it.
Admitting siblings for Marlowe are ‘definitely’ on the horizon, Miller told Australian Elle magazine: ‘I feel much more grounded and complete.
‘Your twenties are a time for exploration and you kind of stumble and trip and pick yourself back up and all those experiences align to make you who you are.’
With her wilder days firmly behind her, Miss Miller now enjoys nothing more than retreating to her English country home with Marlowe and Sturridge, 29, where she can ‘sleep and be boring and cook and catch up with friends’.
She is returning to the spotlight in acclaimed movies Foxcatcher and American Sniper and is enjoying the fact that it is her work rather than personal life that is attracting attention.
She said: ‘For a long time, the focus wasn’t on my work, it was very much elsewhere.
‘I think it’s really important to have ups and downs and make mistakes. God knows I’ve made my fair share – but it all comes together. I’m happy with me.’
