Johannesburg - A festival celebrating African food, exotic drinks, arts and heritage is to be held at Milpark.

The Hospitality All African People's Imbizo (HAAPI) is being presented by the Culinary Arts Association of South Africa (CAASA) and was initiated by Technopro Trading Enterprise.

In a press release, CAASA says: " The programme addresses some of the critical aspects of our African heritage in the way we see food and beverages, but also nutrition and biodiversity, while ensuring that our tourism is positioned as the best in the world."

The festival will feature chefs from the rest of Africa and food stalls demonstrating African cuisine.

Countries taking part are Ghana, Zimbabwe, Congo, Congo DRC, Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania, Togo, Mauritius, Nigeria, Egypt and Morocco.

* The festival will be held at the Deutsche Internationale Schule from September 23 to 27. For more info, go to www.haapi.info
