London - Forget sad, cement-like microwaved eggs in the morning – a breakfast-loving entrepreneur has come up with a gadget that scrambles an egg inside its own shell.

The product, called Goose, gently spins the egg, blending the yolk and the white without cracking the shell.

The already-scrambled egg can then be soft or hard boiled – and according to inventor Geraint Krumpe, the result is a “superior, creamier” taste.

The device, which is made up of a capsule suspended between two cords, was inspired by a Victorian children’s toy.

Pulling the two cords apart causes the capsule to spin, mixing the egg’s contents without damaging the shell.

Mr Krumpe, 37, is seeking funding for the Goose on crowdsourcing website Kickstarter, and if successful plans to launch the product later this year, at an estimated price of £10 (about R200). - Daily Mail
