London - As anyone knows, there’s an art to biscuit and rusk dunking.

Get it right and you can enhance your cuppa experience ten fold. Get it wrong and that sludgy mess that ends up swilling around your tea or coffee can make you feel positively ill.

Such risks may put some potential dunkers off, but thanks to Andrew Tinsley even hopeless amateurs can now dip with confidence.

The father-of-two has come up with a nifty mesh pouch that can be immersed in a mug to catch any unwanted biscuit bits that might float off during the dunking process.

Once the drinker has finished dunking they can lift the washable nylon pouch out using an attached string.

Tinsley, 49, from Watford, dreamt up the Cookie Catcher after watching family members dunking their biscuits for too long.

He explained: “We all said that someone should invent a device that catches the crumbs and stops your tea being full of bits. It got me thinking.” - Daily Mail
