Durban - With two MasterChef SA winners hailing from KwaZulu-Natal, the province has another feather in its culinary cap with the recent announcement that A Dainty Morsel has been shortlisted for the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in the charity section.

A Dainty Morsel is a collection of recipes from St Anne’s old girls, compiled and styled by north coast foodie Theresa Rattray with photographs by acclaimed Durban photographer Sally Chance.

Also shortlisted from KZN is Jackie Cameron Cooks at Home (also with photographs by Sally Chance) and Erica Platter’s East Coast Tables, the Inland Edition, with photography by Clinton Friedman.

The awards will be announced at the Beijing Cookbook Fair which runs at the Daxing Hotel from May 19 to 21.

Features include a cookbook exhibition, a foreign rights trade centre for publishers and authors, conferences and tastings. - The Mercury
